I am not using a boxed curriculum. Instead, I laid out a plan for my year and then divided everything by nine months. Below is the plan for

• Author of the Month: Frank Asch
• **C/H/S/G: Johnny Appleseed lapbook
• Continents: Overview of the seven
• Holidays: Autumn, Apple Picking
• Math: Verbal Lessons
• Science: Body Encyclopedia overview
• Bible: Last five chapter of Big Truths for Little Kids then chapters 1-5 in Discovering Jesus in Genesis.
• Outdoor Hour: Lots of yard work and playground trips
• Music: Drum lessons
• Art: Cassatt, Monet, Manet, and Degas from Discovering Great Artists. Also a trip to the museum to see Cassatt's painting and drawings.
• Grammar: Nouns using Simply Grammar.

**C/H/S/G stands for Citizenship, History, Social Studies, and Government. It's a very broad category for our state.
