The term "balmy" takes on a whole new meaning in the winter when you live Up North. Tonight, for example, the temperature is currently nine. Yes, you read that correctly. NINE. When you've experienced nine, 40s is practically a heat wave.
One morning a little while back we woke up to mild weather and (dead) grass visible to the naked eye. J was doing some reading when we decided to throw caution to the wind and go to THE PARK.
There were things to ride on:
Things to slide down:
And things to stand on:
There was even a cannon to lie on, like every good park should have:
Best of all there were trees to go with the dead grass:
It was a beautiful day. Looking at these pictures keeps the hope alive that, one day, we WILL see the park again. Soon.
