Communicating with aliens?

During our Ancient Egypt unit, J was mightily impressed with the Rosetta Stone which was carved in 196BC. When the stone was found in 1799, it unlocked the meaning of Hieroglyphic writing. A message was written on the stone in three languages: Greek (used by the rulers), Demotic (the common language), and Hieroglyphics (used by the religious leaders). Greek and Demotic were understood languages. By comparing the three, they were able to translate the ancient Egyptian symbols.

In a bid to mix interests (planets have always been a favorite pastime), J came up with his own Rosetta Stone. He calls it his "Roplaneta Stone." I should probably pass this important document along to astronomers and those who are trying to find life on other planets. With this key, they might be able to translate any findings and discover the truth of their civilizations.

Or, perhaps an alien from one of these planets will stumble across this as they're surfing the net and find a way to speak Earthen and communicate with us. There's no telling what breakthroughs may occur.
