One afternoon J modeled his collection. He indicated that, though the pharaoh was wearing the same shirt in each photo (a Cars shirt, no less), each picture was of a different pharaoh.
First, we have King Tut (Tutankhamen) sitting on his kingly throne. He looks severe and determined.
But then his photographer caught him in a lighter moment:

Now we have Ramses II sporting the crown of Upper Egypt.
Long ago, Sargon united the Upper and Lower Kingdoms of Egypt. To show that union, he combined the two crowns (that's a picture of his great-grandmother in the background):
When it was time for battle, the special war crown was worn. Ramses II returned for this pose. (Ignore the tapestry pillow protruding from his eyebrow.)
Uh oh. Anubis, the god of the dead has arrived. The pharaohs know what that means. I guess it's time for them to return to their sarcophagi (sarcophaguses?) Thanks, guys. We appreciate your cooperation.

I love that you all made all those hats!!!! We made the lower and upper ones too--and still have it somewhere! We also made the crook out of wrapping paper tubes...and hot wheels crepe paper streamers! HAHAHA!!!
Did you show the Anubis mask to Quint? Was it recognizable?
We should get together for a play date. It's only a 14 hour trip . . . one way . . .!
