In the first drawing, the planets are waiting in line (for the sun to light up the universe). In front of them there is (apparently) a sign that says, "No Books of Any Sort in this Line." Jupiter is completely disregarding that sign by reading a comic book. (About Superman, of course.) Uranus (to his right), is a little disgusted at this display of disobedience.
In front of Jupiter are Pluto (looking at his watch), Venus (who has noticed Jupiter's bad manners, too), and Mercury (who is just bored).

Next up we have Uranus playing tennis (wearing a visor), and Saturn who is playing on the monkey bars. Uh oh. The tennis ball got away from Uranus and hit poor Saturn right in the eye. Trouble!

In this drawing, the planets are doing a little forest clearing. Jupiter (with safety goggles in place), was getting ready to chop the felled tree with his ax when he tripped over a log. On the right, Uranus, who saw Jupiter, was concerned. Then he heard something. Another tree was heading right toward him! He turned quickly in horror. Unfortunately, the artist left us in the lurch as to what happened. (J says Uranus moved away quickly.)

Oh, I do hope you are keeping a portfolio/scrapbook! These are wonderful!
Oh, yes, we've got the porfolios LOL! I love when he does these things as they are completely unprompted. There are always details that are unexpected.
For example, when I asked what the item was at the top of Uranus' ring in the second picture and was told it was a visor, not a hat, I thought that was hilarious. Of course it was a visor. He was playing tennis!
So far he's working on "cartoonist" over artist LOL!
